Integrate Apps with Google Classroom

Did you know that many applications integrate with Google Classroom? By using them with Google Classroom, you can save time (and frustration) in the classroom. Some of the great tools that you can use are:

  • Quizizz – Check in with your students for regular formative assessment in a fun way or have students create their own quiz to show what they know! It’s a quick way to collect data on student learning in your classroom – both for the student self-assessment and teacher assessment. Built-in reports help you monitor the progress of the whole class and of individual students. It’s quick and easy to assign Quizizz games to your class and see performance data in Classroom.
  • Newsela – Start using Newsela right away. Import your classroom and easily share to Classroom.
  • Khan Academy – Import your students from Google Classroom and assign them content from Kham Academy in Classroom.
  • Flipgrid – Share directly to Google Classroom.
  • IXL (premium) – Assign IXL skills to students in Google Classroom.
  • Pear Deck (premium)- Create an interactive lesson for your students with any extra codes or setup! Although Pear Deck has a free version, Google Classroom integration is only available with the premium plan.
  • Tynker (premium)- It’s easier and faster to import students to Tynker, assign lessons and view student progress.
  • Bonus – Use the Share to Classroom Google Chrome extension to push a web page to your students. You can also use the extension to post to Classroom

I’ve only included apps that I’ve used in the list, but there are many other apps available with more being added over time. To find other great apps that work with classroom, visit the Google Classroom Partners page.
